The City of Independence, an Equal Opportunity Employer, is accepting applications to fill a Water/Wastewater Operator Position.  This person will work in mainly in the Water and Sewer Departments but will also be expected to work in other departments as needed.  Applicant must obtain water/sewer certifications within 2 years of hire, have a valid driver’s license and must have or be able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License.  Wages negotiable depending on experience.
